Smith & Wesson Statement

After 2 years of litigation a significant decision by the city of Boston, Massachusetts to ask for the dismissal of a lawsuit against firearm manufactures and related associations has occurred.

A British controlled but US born company quickly gained the spotlights and the ire of most freedom loving citizens when it acquiesced to the demands of this litigation.   The company, Smith & Wesson , felt the anger of consumers and dealers who felt   freedom issues were center stage. These minutemen did not agree with the decision and boycotted the product with significant loss of revenues and market share.  This resulted in the British ownership selling the company to US interest.

In the meantime, firearms industry trade associations, the NEW ownership of Smith & Wesson and other arms manufacturers continued to defend against the erosion of freedoms guaranteed by the constitution.

Our company would like to thank all those consumers and dealers who spoke out with their actions to make a strong statement to members of our industry that FREEDOM is our most important product.  Without that statement the dismissal of this lawsuit may not have been possible.
